Continued many transfers of real properties

A total of 50 100 transfers of real property were registered in the fourth quarter of 2007, about the same as in the corresponding quarter in 2006. The value of the properties represents an increase of 8 per cent compared with the corresponding quarter in 2006.

The aggregate value of all types of real properties transferred during the fourth quarter of 2007 increased by NOK 5.5 billion compared with the corresponding quarter of 2006 and amounted to NOK 76 billion. The transfers of real properties have earlier only been higher in the fourth quarter of 2005.

About the statistical basis

Due to increasing uncertainty in the data, preliminary figures are not published as planned. This uncertainty is mainly caused by insufficient information concerning type of property from the title registration. As can be seen in table 3, there is a marked increase in the number of transfers in the category Other . For more information about these transfers will be supplied before we publish the detailed statistics. We will present more detailed figures for the fourth quarter of 2007 in May together with preliminary figures from the first quarter of 2008.
