6 961 000 square meters of utility floor space was started during the first eleven months of 2005 - an increase of 1.3 per cent compared to the same period in 2004. Almost half of the floor space was built for dwellings, which increased by 1.2 per cent this period.

26 590 dwellings were started the first eleven months in 2005, a decrease of 2.6 per cent compared to 2004.

Started square meters of utility floor space for other buildings than dwellings in the period January to November 2005 increased by 1.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2004. 1 128 000 square meters of floor space was started for holiday houses and garages this period, an increase of 5.3 per cent compared to 2004.
