Dwelling starts decreased
7 per cent fewer dwellings were started during the first two months this year compared with the corresponding period last year.
During January and February 3 994 dwellings were started in Norway. Oslo had the highest number of dwelling starts with 569, while Akershus and Rogaland had 453 and 442 dwelling starts respectively.
Decrease for non-residential buildings
615 300 square metres of utility floor space were started in non-residential buildings in the first two months of 2003, 13 per cent fewer than in the first two months of 2002.
Rogaland and Sør-Trøndelag had most floor space started with 72 600 and 62 400 square metres respectively.
