Dwelling starts decreased by 6 per cent

In the first two months of this year there are 4 278 dwellings started, 6 per cent less than last year.

Akershus has most dwelling starts with 648 dwellings. Following are Hordaland, Oslo and Rogaland with 533, 403 and 399 dwellings started respectively.

Decrease for non-residential buildings

During January and February this year 707 100 metres of utility floor space is started for non-residential buildings. The decrease in non-residential building starts is 9 per cent.

The industry of manufacturing has the highest building activity in January and February, with 138 000 square metres of utility floor space started.
