Production index for construction, Q3 2010

This is the second consecutive quarter with a small increase in the total construction activity, taking into account the normal seasonal fluctuations. Civil engineering works rose by 6.2 per cent from the 2^{n d} to the 3^{r d} quarter of 2010, after a small decline in the previous quarter. Compared with the same period last year, seasonally-adjusted figures show a growth in civil engineering output of 2.9 per cent.

The building activity increased by 1.0 per cent from the 2^{n d} to the 3^{r d} quarter of 2010 and is 0.3 per cent lower than in the same quarter last year, according to the seasonally-adjusted figures.
