Small changes in construction activity

Production in the construction industry increased by 0.9 per cent from the 1s t to the 2n d quarter of 2010, according to the seasonally-adjusted figures. Production was 0.9 per cent lower compared with the same period last year.

Errors in index figures (13.05.2011)

In a quality review of the production index, construction, errors in the calculation were revealed. As a consequence, the index figures dating back to the first quarter of 2008 have been revised. Text and figures in this article are not revised.

New revised figures for the whole period are available in the Statbank . New figures are also available in the last published article.

Seasonally-adjusted figures show no change in total building activity from 2n d quarter 2009 to 2n d quarter 2010.

Civil engineering works decreased by 2.7 per cent from the 1s t to the 2n d quarter of 2010. Compared with the same period last year, seasonally-adjusted figures show a decline in civil engineering output of 5.0 per cent.
