Small decrease for building activity

Building activity decreased by 1 per cent from the 3rd quarter last year to the 3rd quarter this year. On the opposite, production in the civil engineering sector rose by 3.7 per cent.

Production of new buildings in the 3rd quarter of this year decreased by 3.7 per cent compared with the 3rd quarter last year. Renovation activity increased by 2.1 per cent during the same period. In total the building activity decreased by 1.0 per cent. The activity in the civil engineering sector rose by 3.7 per cent.

The total production in the construction industry decreased by 0.4 per cent.
