Stable growth in construction turnover

The turnover in the construction industry was NOK 83.5 billion in the 5th period of 2016. This corresponds to a growth of 5.7 per cent compared to the same period in 2015.

The growth in turnover in the construction industry has been stable in the last three periods. The increase has varied between 6.4 per cent in the 3rd period, 6.6 per cent in the 4th period and 5.7 per cent in the 5th period compared with the corresponding periods in 2015.

The total turnover in the construction industry was NOK 83.5 billion in the 5th period of 2016. The turnover was divided between the three divisions in the construction industry, with NOK 32.1 billion in construction of buildings, NOK 38.6 billion in specialised construction activities and NOK 12.8 billion in civil engineering.

At county level, the local kind-of-activity units in Oslo had the largest turnover, with NOK 15.2 billion in the 5th period of 2016, while sales in Vestfold had the highest growth, with an increase of 19.2 per cent from the same period in 2015.
