Continued growth in construction

The turnover in the construction industry was NOK 66.0 billion in the 2nd period of 2016. This corresponds to a growth of NOK 2.2 per cent compared to the same period in 2015.

The total turnover in construction of buildings was NOK 26.7 billion in the 2nd period of 2016 and corresponds to an increase of 3.7 per cent, compared to the 2nd period of 2015.

There was an increase of 0.8 per cent within civil engineering from the 2nd period of 2015 to the 2nd period of 2016. The turnover was NOK 8.1 billion. In the division “Specialised construction activities”, there was an increase of 1.3 per cent in the 2nd period of 2016 compared to the same period in the year before. The turnover was NOK 31.1 billion.

The highest growth in turnover was found in Vestfold and Aust-Agder with a growth of 19.5 and 22 per cent respectively compared with the 2nd period of 2015. The local kind-of-activity units in Rogaland had a decrease of 12.5 per cent.
