13.7 per cent growth in construction

Turnover in the construction industry increased by NOK 14.2 billion, or 13.7 per cent, in the period January - August 2005 compared with the corresponding period in 2004.

The total construction turnover for the period January - August 2005 was NOK 117.8 billion. The group “building of complete constructions or parts thereof; civil engineering” increased the most in turnover, up 17.1 per cent.

The total turnover in the construction industry for the fourth period (July and August) 2005 increased by 15.1 per cent compared with the corresponding period in 2004.

All figures are exclusive of VAT.
