Lower annual profit

The annual profits of financial holding companies fell by 54 per cent last year compared with 2006. The reduction was mainly due to lower operating income.

The annual profits went down from NOK 9.3 billion in 2006 to NOK 4.2 billion in 2007. The main reason for the decline in annual profits was a reduction in income from subsidiaries and associated companies by NOK 6.9 billion.

Total assets increased by 14 per cent to NOK 103.6 billion. Investments in subsidiaries increased by NOK 7 billion. Loans and other claims on group-companies and associated companies increased by NOK 4.6 billion. Short-term investments in securities decreased by NOK 0.7 billion.
