Increased contributions in AFP scheme

Pension contributions in the Agreement Based Pension (AFP) scheme increased by 13 per cent, to NOK 3 836 million, during 2008. The net income decreased by 41 per cent compared with 2007.

Pension contributions increased by NOK 122 million during 2008, mainly due to a 8.8 per cent rise in the number of retired people from 2007 to 2008. During 2008, the net income decreased by 41 per cent, to NOK 138 million. Total assets increased by 6 per cent to NOK 1 921 million.

The Joint Pension under Collective Agreement (FTP) was wound up in 1967. Hence, the agreement does not receive any premiums. The profit on ordinary activities was NOK -132 million, whereas the total assets were NOK 2.8 million.
