Oslo had the largest increase in employment

All counties except Hedmark, Nord-Trøndelag, Troms, Nordland og Sogn og Fjordane had an increase in the number of employed persons, from the fourth quarter of 2004 to the fourth quarter of 2005. The whole country had an increase in the number of employed persons of 24 000, or 1,1 per cent.

The increase in the number of employed persons working in Oslo was 2,2 per cent, followed by Rogaland and Sør-Trøndelag who had an increase of 1,7 and 1,5 per cent respectively. Hedmark had the largest decrease with 1,3 per cent.

The register-based employment statistics is published once a year. More detailed figures for health care personnel l are released on June 19t h and for immigrants on June 22n d. More tables are available in the StatBank.
