Monthly earnings up 6 per cent

Full-time employees in municipalities and county municipalities had average monthly earnings, excluding overtime pay, of NOK 38 600 as per 1 December 2012. This was a year-on-year increase of NOK 2 200 or 6 per cent.

Monthly earnings for full-time employed women were NOK 37 700, while the corresponding earnings for men were NOK 40 300. This was a year-on-year increase of 6.2 per cent for women and 5.5 per cent for men.
