Passengers travel more abroad

The number of passengers travelling at Norwegian airports with scheduled service increased by 5.2 per cent from 33.1 million in 2004 to 34.8 million in 2005. The growth was related to a large increase in the number of passengers who travels abroad.

The domestic traffic constitutes of 23 million of the total amount of passengers in 2005 and 22.4 million passengers in 2004, an increase of 2.5 per cent in this period. The international traffic amplified by 11 per cent, from 10.6 million passengers in 2004 to 11.8 million passengers in 2005.

The largest airport measured in domestic and international traffic was Oslo airport. Out of the 15.9 travellers at Oslo airport, 7.7 million passengers travelled on domestic flights.
