This statistic shows the extent and development of freight and passenger transport at sea. For maritime freight transport, the statistic encompasses both domestic and international transportation of goods. Regarding the transportation of passengers, the statistic describes ferry traffic between Norway and neighboring countries as well passengers traveling on Hurtigruten’s costal liners.

This statistical product follows pupils starting in upper secondary education for the first time, a given autumn and their status for completion a certain time after starting in upper secondary education. We follow pupils starting a general studies programme (normative length of three years), over a period of five years. We follow pupils starting a vocational programme (normative length usually four years, two years in school and two years in apprenticeship) over a period of six years. The year we start looking at the pupils, can be found by subtracting 7 from the year of the publication. For the 2024 publication, we are looking at the pupils who statarted in upper secondary school in 2017.

The statistics provide an overview of the diet of the Norwegian population based on the edible quantity of sold food items in a selection of Norwegian grocery stores throughout the year. The statistics include figures for the edible amounts of sold food and beverages, distributed by food groups and nutritional content. The figures are presented per person over the course of the year (kg/liter) and per person per day (grams).
