The statistics provides information on financial assets and liabilities in the central and local government sectors. The assets and liabilities are classified by financial objects.

Figures for 2023

The statistics cover all life and non-life insurance companies and branches of foreign companies in Norway. It shows overall performance, balance and some specifications for the sector and industry.

Figures for May 2024

The index measures the monthly cost development of residential building construction works. The cost indices are not affected by changes in productivity or changes in profit margins. It is primarily used for contract escalation in construction contracts.

Figures for 1st quarter 2024

This statistic shows the extent and development of freight and passenger transport at sea. For maritime freight transport, the statistic encompasses both domestic and international transportation of goods. Regarding the transportation of passengers, the statistic describes ferry traffic between Norway and neighboring countries as well passengers traveling on Hurtigruten’s costal liners.

Figures for 2017-2023

This statistical product follows pupils starting in upper secondary education for the first time, a given autumn and their status for completion a certain time after starting in upper secondary education. We follow pupils starting a general studies programme (normative length of three years), over a period of five years. We follow pupils starting a vocational programme (normative length usually four years, two years in school and two years in apprenticeship) over a period of six years. The year we start looking at the pupils, can be found by subtracting 7 from the year of the publication. For the 2024 publication, we are looking at the pupils who statarted in upper secondary school in 2017.

Figures for 2023

Public support for R&D provides statistics covering public grants, loans, advices and other services aimed at promotion of R&D and innovation in both the business and public sector. The budgeted amounts are reported.

Figures for 2018

The statistics provide an overview of the diet of the Norwegian population based on the edible quantity of sold food items in a selection of Norwegian grocery stores throughout the year. The statistics include figures for the edible amounts of sold food and beverages, distributed by food groups and nutritional content. The figures are presented per person over the course of the year (kg/liter) and per person per day (grams).

In the period of June 3rd – June 9th the export price of fresh salmon came to NOK 92.20 per kilo, down by 12.1 per cent compared to the previous seven-day period.

Educational Attainment of the Population includes residents in Norway as of October 1, aged 16 years or older by the end of the calendar year.
