Strong increase in the external loan debt
From August to September, the external debt of non-financial enterprises, municipalities and households experienced an increase of NOK 20.7 billion, to a total of NOK 534.9 billion. The public enterprises' long-term loan debt accounted for the main part of the increase.
The public enterprises increased their external loan debt with NOK 15.9 billion to 164.0 billion. It was the long term loan debt that increased the most with 12.6 billion to 100.7 billion. At the same time the private enterprises increased their loan debt to foreign countries by NOK 4.8 billion to 363.6 billion.
