Growing investments in manufacturing

Total investments in manufacturing, mining and quarrying, and electricity supply experienced considerable growth in 2005. Estimates for 2006 are even higher than the corresponding figures for 2005.

Total investments in 2005 covering manufacturing, mining and quarrying and electricity supply amounted to approximately NOK 28.7 billion, measured in current value. This is 6 per cent higher than the corresponding figures for 2004. A significant increase in the level of investment within manufacturing explains this result. Estimates for 2006 are 10 per cent higher than the corresponding figures for 2005. This result is mostly due to expectations of a general increase in investments within electricity supply.
