In-patient care at somatic hospitals up

Preliminary figures from Norway's 1995 County Health Statistics show an increase in in-patient care and staff at somatic hospitals.

The number of in-patient stays at somatic hospitals increased to 640,124 in 1995, up 2.6 per cent from the previous year. The number of out-patient consultations also increased by 2.6 per cent, accounting for around 76,000 consultations. There was little change in the number of beds in somatic hospitals from 1994 to 1995.
