A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.
Navigating with keyboard and screenreader. Select multiple object in row: SHIFT+arrow down/up. To select a single value in the listbox: Windows:Hold Ctrl + arrow down. Then release Ctrl and press space. Repeat. Mac:CMD+arrow down/up. Then release CMD and press spacebar. Repeat. (Works only in Chrome, not in Safari). To exit listbox with values selected, press TAB-key.

Fra 2006 ble aldersgrensen for å bli regnet som sysselsatte senket fra 16 til 15 år, i tråd med internasjonale anbefalinger. Samtidig ble aldersdefinisjonen endret fra alder ved utgangen av året til alder ved utgangen av referansetidspunktet. Det er laget nye tall for 2005 etter samme definisjon, mens årgangene før følger gammel definisjon av alder. As from 2015, the statistics are based on new data sources (a-ordningen), see further details in «About the statistics». The total number of employed persons is no longer coordinated with the Labour Force Survey (LFS) as before 2015, and does not correspond any more with LFS's total number of employed. The figures for 2015 and onwards are therefore not comparable with the figures for previous years.
