Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

In 2009-2014 healthy newborns were included. In 2015 only private institutions with government mandate are presented as 'private institutions with operating agreements'. These institutions are included in Health region West and Health region South-East. Other private institutions are presented as 'private institutions without operating agreements' and are not included in the region numbers. The affected variables cannot be compared with previous years. This table will be updated to ensure comparability. As of 2018, outpatient consultations from contracted medical specialists are included in the figures. Statistics on institutions are not published after 2012. Please use contact persons if you need figures on institutional level.

Beds

From 2019 all somatic beds at health enterprises and private institutions with government mandate are classified as 'General hospitals'. In 2019 138 beds are reclassified as 'General hospitals' instead of 'Other somatic hospitals'.
