Northeast Arctic= The area North of 62º N. In order to calculate the fish stock, the individual year class of the stock is followed. New information about the amount of fish in the specific year class will affect the results for this year class backwards in time.
The time series including 2015 is updated according to figures from the Institute of Marine Research. This has led to deviations from previously published figures. For the same period, the total stock biomass of herring has changed from including herring 0 years and older, to include herring 2 years and older.
