Numerator: Contractual hours full-time equivalents (FTEs) in health and care services, including both patient- and user-oriented occupations as well as occupations within administration and support services. Includes temporary staff, leaves of absence, and sick leave, but excludes overtime work. Most FTEs are linked to municipal services, but the variable also includes FTEs from private providers delivering care services to the public sector or the private market. The FTEs are associated with the following KOSTRA accounting functions: 232, 233, 234, 241, 253, 257, 258, and 261. The data source for care services and the child health clinic and school health services is the a-ordningen register, collected during the 3rd week of November. For physician and physiotherapist FTEs, the data source is KOSTRA form 1 – Personnel and operations in the municipal health and care services. Denominator: Population as of December 31.
