Lower sales for specialized stores

While retail sales in Norway are significantly higher overall, many specialized stores have seen their turnover decline or flatten. Specialized shops selling tobacco and coffee and tea saw noticeably lower sales in the first four months of the year compared to last year. Their turnover declined nine and five per cent, respectively. Sales of fruits and vegetables in specialized stores fell four per cent. The turnover of other business areas grew by up to 15 per cent during the same period.
