Clothing and footwear sales lower index

Seasonally lower prices for clothing, footwear and vegetables helped lower the all-items index by 0.1 per cent from July to August. From August last year to August this year (12-month growth rate) prices increased by 1.5 per cent, after increasing 1.3 per cent in July. The all-items index for August was 263.7.
