External trade in goods, 2nd quarter 1996:

Good prices for Norwegian export goods

Norway exported NOK 151.1 billion worth of goods during the first half of the year. This is NOK 19.2 billion more than in the first half of 1995. Excluding ships and oil platforms exports totaled NOK 148.3 billion, an increase of 16.2 percent compared to last year. If crude oil and natural gas are also excluded, exports totaled NOK 77.3 billion, compared to NOK 71.6 billion during the first half of last year. Norwegian exports attained on the whole good prices in the second quarter, despite price falls for important goods such as aluminum, fish and wood products.
