More pupils receive additional training in Norwegian
41 500 pupils in primary and lower secondary schools received additional training in Norwegian in the autumn of 2009.
The number of pupils who received additional training in Norwegian increased by 700 from the previous school year. This means that close to 7 per cent of all pupils received additional training in Norwegian.
The number of pupils with mother language training also had a small increase. Approximately 3.6 per cent of all pupils received mother language training.
