Small improvements in ICT security

Three out of five public enterprises have anti-phishing software in 2012. One out of five have been exposed to attempted phishing.

In the years 2008 to 2012, the share of public enterprises with anti-phishing software was unchanged at about 60 per cent.

Of all the IT security problems in the survey, phishing is the biggest threat in 2012. Almost 20 per cent of the public enterprises have been exposed to phishing. The share was 11 per cent in 2008.

Minor use of outsourcing or cloud computing

Public enterprises mainly use internal employees to carry out ICT. Development of Internet solutions is the most commonly outsourced ICT role, with about 50 per cent in 2012. Only three out of ten enterprises use cloud computing services.

ICT expenditure

In 2011, the total ICT expenditure in the central government was NOK 10.8 billion. The expenditure amounts to 4 per cent of the total expenditure for own production.
