Eighty-one per cent of the central government use social media to communicate with the general public. This is an increase from 64 per cent in 2012.

Nearly 70 per cent use Facebook or other social network services, and 62 per cent use micro blogging, like Twitter.
Thirty-seven per cent of public enterprises use one or more cloud computing services. In 2012, the share was 26 per cent.
IT projects benefits for citizens
Sixty-five per cent of the central government report that IT projects over the last two years have been of major or significant benefit to the users. This is up from the 58 per cent reported in 2012.
IT projects have also improved the working routines and communication with other enterprises, by 54 and 44 per cent respectively. This is up 4 and 5 per cent since 2012.
ICT expenditures
In 2012, the total ICT expenditure in the central government was NOK 11.1 billion. Expenditure has increased by 2.4 per cent since 2011.
