Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

The table shows planned land use for the costal zone which include a 100-meter belt along the mainland coastline, including islands with a mainland connection in the form of a bridge or car ferry. The planning statistics are based on the municipalities' digital planning data obtained from Geonorge and provide a status with figures as detailed as possible for each year. Data in this table applies to spatial plans with the status of finally adopted at vertical level 2 (on the ground).The planning mosaic consists of land use purposes from the current zoning plan where possible, and land use purposes from the municipal plan's land use section in other areas. The statistics will also capture that the data bases are becoming more complete as well as changes due to the rolling of the area part of the municipal plan in individual municipalities. Land areas include mainland Norway including islands.

land use objectives

Contains land use purposes from current zoning and municipal plans according to both the 2008 Land Use Act and the 1985 Land Use Act. Land use purposes are a main element in municipal plans that specify with legally binding effect what the area can be used for. Land use purposes are divided into main purposes, land use purpose groups and sub-purposes.

Land use status is given for areas where land use objectives from the municipality's land use plans are available.
