The types of sanctions which usually are issued enterprises are fine, fines given by the courts or prosecutions conditionally dropped. The number of enterprises can from 2011 be identified in the category unknown age and sex in statistics for these types of sanctions. See table 10623. The years 1997-2001 are only published with standard for principal offence before the new penal code (group of offence -2014 and type of offence -2014).
The older type of sanction community service was replaced by community sanction in 2002. The category community service also includes community service.
The older special sanction security detention was in 2002 replaced with preventive detention, compulsory mental health care and compulsory care. Security detention in combination with unconditional imprisonment is placed in the category unconditional imprisonment, while security detention alone is placed in the category other type of sanction.
From year 2019, on the spot fines for maritime conditions (småbåtloven § 42) are included in the statistics. All such on the spot fines are categorized under the type of principal offense «Other transport and traffic legislation» in the group of offense «traffic offenses».
