Average rent levels between years are not directly comparable since the survey is based on unique samples each year that can differ according to variables that are important for the rent level. Method changes in 2012 makes the figures less comparable with previous years. 'Urban settlements with more than 20,000 inhabitants' - Excluding Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, and Akershus.
