As of 2005 the lower age limit for inclusion as in employment was reduced from 16 to 15 years in line with international recommendations. At the same time, the definition of age was changed from the age at the end of the year to the age at the end of the period in question.
STN area: The area of activity of the Sami Parliament subsidy schemes for business development (STN). For the years 2007 and earlier: Based on the 2009 definition of the STN area. For 2008-2010 the definition of the area based on the 2011 definition of the STN area. For 2011 and 2012 the definiotion of the area based on the 2012 definition of the STN area.
Other areas: Areas North of Saltfjellet outside the area of activity of the Sami Parliament subsidy schemes for business development (STN).
