From the year 1999 there was a change in the categorizing of ambulances. Operating ambulances includes both ambulances operating 24 hours and ambulances operating less than 24 hours. In 2007 Helse Sør RHF and Helse Øst RHF are merged to form Helse Sør-Øst RHF.
