For the 4th quarter and the whole year, the increase in population is calculated as the population at the end of the year less the population at the end of the year/the end of 4th quarter. For the first six months and the first 9 months the increase in population is the sum of the excess of births and the net migration. See list over changes in regional classifications (in Norwegian).
