Obs:

The statistics are as detailed as possible for each year, but will also reflect that the basedata is getting more complete. Hence theese tables can not be used to detect changes between years. The built-up classes in this tabel contains numbers for built-up and permanently altred, associated areas. E.g. for a single dwelling areas used for garden and car-parking will be included. The map used for the built-up areas is published at Geonorge.no as SSB-arealbruk

Footnotes

The figures for «K-21-22 Svalbard and Jan Mayen» only applies to Svalbard The figures for wetlands are based on land resource type 'bogs' from an extended version of NIBIOs National Land Resource Map. Above the tree line, bogs have not been completely mapped, so the figures are low for parts of the country.
