Preliminary 2024 figures for business enterprise sector and higher education sector.
The index used for calculating R&D expenditures in fixed prices is preliminary for the last three years. Due to this, figures for previous years may change when the statistic is updated.
Business Enterprise sector includes enterprises with at least 10 employees. Due to changes in the survey the movement of units between different sectors, the figures are not always directly comparable across years.
Figures for R&D full-time equivalents in 2021 for higher education sector and all sectors were corrected on 31.10.2025.
