1.4 per cent increase in manufacturing

Total labour costs per hour in manufacturing increased by 1.4 per cent from the second to the third quarter of 2009. In the same period in 2008, costs increased by 1.5 per cent.

The labour cost index for construction had a growth of 0.3 per cent in the third quarter.

The statistics from this quarter are based on a new classification of industry .
