Increased growth rate in labour costs
Total labour costs per hour in manufacturing increased by 0.8 per cent from the third quarter to the fourth quarter 2006. From the third quarter the fourth quarter 2005, the costs rose by 0.4 per cent.
In construction, total labour costs increased by 0.5 per cent from the third quarter to the fourth quarter of 2006. The costs increased by 0.3 per cent the same quarter in 2005.
