The protocol sets limits on emissions of sulphur dioxide (SO 2 ), non-methane volatile organic carbon (NMVOC), ammonia (NH 3 ) and nitrogen oxides
(NO x ).
Norwegian emission ceilings in the Gothenburg Protocol:
SO 2 : 22 000 tonnes
NO X : 156 000 tonnes
NH 3 : 23 000 tonnes
NMVOC: 195 000 tonnes
