Self-employment income increases

Total personal trading income for self-employed persons amounted to NOK 35.6 billion in 1996. This is an increase of 3.4 per cent compared to the year before. Personal income from sole proprietorships increased by 5.3 per cent. Among sole proprietorships there has been no change in personal income from the primary industries since 1995, while at the same time personal income from other industries grew 7.4 per cent.
