Wages grow in retail and wholesale trade

Employees in the agency and wholesale trade sector had average monthly earnings of NOK 21,644 on 1 September 1997. This works out to a five per cent wage increase from September 1996. Wages of retail trade employees rose 4.4 per cent.

Monthly earnings of employees in the agency and wholesale trade sector were NOK 21,644, an increase of NOK 1,034 from 1996. Comparative monthly earnings of employees in the retail trade sector increased from NOK 16,275 in 1996 to NOK 16,987 in 1997, or by NOK 712.
