1  Actual individual consumption (AIC) is the sum of Household final consumption expenditure, Final consumption expenditure of non-profit institutions serving households and Individual consumption expenditure of government. Since the scope of particularly public sector services differs among countries, AIC is often considered more suitable in international comparisons than Houshold final consumption expenditure.
