6  Norwegian School of Management and School of Mission and Theology obtain status as specialised university institutions 1 June 2008.
7  The state university colleges is a term for type of university college which is a result from a reform in 1994.
8  Oslo University College and Akershus University College has been merged as of 1 august 2011.
