1  The energy use tax was NOK 0.093/kWh in 2002, NOK 0.095/kWh in 2003 and 0.0967/KWh. VAT was 24 per cent in 2002, 2003 and 2004. The energy use tax is not required in Finnmark and some municipalities in Nord-Troms. Nordland, Troms and Finnmark are exempted from VAT for households.
