Productivity and unit costs
StatBank Norway presents indicators such as operating expenditures and contracted man-years adjusted for long term leaves in teaching, research and dissemination positions in relation to completed units of 60 credit points and achieved publication points. A student has to complete 60 credit points per year in order to complete a course on time.
Educational institutions offer courses that differ in costs, and as a consequence the indicators of operating expenditures used in StatBank Norway differ.
Related indicators
The number of primary applicants per study place is an indication of the academic level of the student population and indirectly affects the outcome indicators. The share of people with tertiary education in the population is an indication of the effects of tertiary education on society.
