Police and prosecution - StatRes (Corrected 18.

The police and prosecution area in StatRes is organisationally limited to cover the Higher Prosecuting Authority, National Police Directorate, Police Districts, National Criminal Investigation Service, Norwegian National Authority for Investigation and Prosecution of Economic and Environmental Crime, Central Mobile Police Service, National Police Immigration Service, National Police Computing and Material Service, Public Prosecutors, Norwegian Police University College and Norwegian Bureau for the Investigation of Police Affairs.
The indicator set for the police and prosecution area in StatRes is currently being developed and will in the long term be supplemented with several more and also more detailed indicators.
The publication in 2008 includes a limited number of main indicators from Statistics Norway's statistics on costs, contracted man-years adjusted for long-term leaves, crime, fear of crime and police education. The costs and contracted man-years statistics are new and have been specially developed by Statistics Norway for publishing in StatRes (read more in About the statistics).
