1  County distribution of divisions according to location of administrative centres.
2  The deaneries Otredal, Fosen and Stjørdal comprise parishes in Aust-Agder, Nord-Trøndelag and Sør-Trøndelag counties, respectively.
3  Clerical district has been omitted as ecclesiastical division.
4  Asker and Bærum municipalities are part of Oslo diocese, whereas the rest of Akershus is part of Borg diocese.
5  Follo police district also includes municipalities in Østfold.
6  The police districts Nordre Buskerud and Søndre Buskerud also includes parts of Oppland and Vestfold, respectively.
7  Agder police district also includes the county of Vest-Agder.
8  Haugaland og Sunnhordland police district also includes municipalities in Hordaland.
9  Hordaland police district also includes municipalities in Sogn og Fjordane.
10  Sogn og Fjordane police district also includes a municipality in Møre og Romsdal.
11  Midtre Hålogaland police district also includes municipalities in Troms.
12  The primary court districts Kristiansand and Ofoten also includes parts of Aust-Agder and Troms counties, respectively.
13  The appelate court subdistricts Oslo and Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder also includes parts of Akershus and Vest-Agder counties, respectively.
14  The appelate court subdistricts Hedmark and Oppland, Trondheim and Hordaland, Sogn og Fjordane also include the counties Oppland, Nord-Trøndelag and Sogn og Fjordane, respectively.
15  Romerike appelate court subdistrict is a part of Eidsivating appelate court district, whereas the rest of Akershus is part of Borgarting.
16  Nord-Trøndelag police district also includes municipalities in Sør-Trøndelag and Nordland.
17  The primary court districts Drammen, Dalane and Sunnhordland also includes parts of Vestfold, Vest-Agder and Rogaland counties, respectively.
18  The enforcement unit in Oslo does not belong to the police district of Oslo, but is organised directly under The National Police Directorate.
19  Svalbard is counted among the parishes in Troms.
