Fewer die in November traffic accidents


Nineteen persons were killed in traffic accidents in November in Norway. This is eight fewer compared to the same month last year. So far this year, 41 fewer fatalities have been registered compared to the period from January to November 1995.

Of those killed, eight were motorists, six were passengers and five were pedestrians. Five fewer passengers were killed in November this year compared to last year. No children under 15 lost their lives this year. Of those killed, five were in the age group 15 to 24, six were between 25 and 64 and eight were older than 64. The reduction in the number of fatalities compared to last year is among the youngest and the oldest. Four fewer children, and five fewer elderly persons over the age of 64 lost their lives in traffic accidents.
