Higher sales of auto diesel oil


A total of 838 million litres of petroleum products were sold in October in Norway, preliminary figures show. This is nearly 11 per cent higher compared to October last year. Sales of fuel oils increased the most, while sales of auto diesel oil also rose significantly. Marine gas oils sold as bunkers decreased the most.

In October, sales of diesel oil for motor vehicles rose nearly 12 per cent compared to October last year. Dutiable auto diesel oil, which can be used in motor vehicles, increased by all of 12.4 per cent. Untaxed auto diesel oil increased by 9.2 per cent. The percentage of dutiable auto diesel was 59 per cent in October this year, compared to 58 per cent in the same month last year. Sales of heating fuels (light heating oils and heating kerosene) continued to rise. Light heating oils rose by all of 52 per cent compared to October last year. Sales of heating kerosene rose 12.4 per cent. There were 23 dispatch days in October this year, against 22 the same month last year.

A total of 7,869 million litres of petroleum products were sold from January to October this year. This is an increase of 9.2 per cent compared to the same period last year.
